OK fine, so you worked hard to go through college. Guess what? So did I. I still have $40K of loans in payback status. What bearing does that have on what taxes you should pay? Good for you for doing charity work too, but what bearing does that have?
People that always whine about the poor disadvantaged rich people really piss me off. It's a very simple principle: if you need water, you don't go to the desert. Kerry isn't talking about taxing people because he can get away with it, he's talking about taxing them so that they will pay their share of taxes. Rich people in fact DO use government services, quite often at a higher rate than poor people-for example, the court system is entirely funded by taxes, and court cases are dominated by the rich. Why on earth should rich people get a free ride at the expense of poor people? Why should rich people make money off of poor people's backs?
