As others have said, he differentiates between the Bush-esque "Supply Side Jesus" and "Jesus of Nazareth" -- rather clearly (to a person who reads, rather than looks at the pictures, lol) but not until the second-to-last page of the cartoon. Perhaps the notion of an "alternate Jesus" would be offensive to some people. But taken as a whole, the cartoon is not any kind of attack on Jesus or Christianity, IMO. I hope that knee-jerk offended people actually take the time to read it from beginning to end, and not write it off because of the title.

P.S. the book is FABULOUS.
