16. Yes, Kerry is wrong. But we need to be realisistic here.
We care about the people of the world. We understand what is going on in venezuala, we are in the very destinct minority of American voters and lawmakers. It would be truely amazing to have a presidential candidate enlightened enough to take the right stand here. Thus we cannot be too dissapointed. The fact that some lawmakers and leaders are supporting him, and the fact that it looks like he will win are two huge steps in the progress of the world. Having a presidential candidate deviate from accepted "moderate" foriegn policy views in our government is a tall order.

We have to stop being surprised when people do what anyone could have predicted they would do. We have to accept small steps and we have to accept that progress takes a huge amount of time and effort and that change begins with the people, not with the politicians.
