48. nice people don't talk about pnac
When I first read "Rebuilding America's Defenses," especially when I got to the part about the New Pearl Harbor, I thought surely this was going to bring this administration down. Now, I know that quite a few of you are laughing at my naivety, but if this PNAC ain't a bombshell of a wakeup call, I don't know what is.

So, we have a bunch of people from Iran-Contra, Bush I and the privatized war-biz who get together and engineer, with the help of a completely compromised media, the most preposterous coup ever where some incompetent puppet is put in office under the guise of being compassionate while putting all the PNACers into place. Boom! New Pearl Harbor happens. Yeah! we get to invade Iraq and anyone else we want. MIHOP? Coincidence? Bad star alignment?

Oh yes, throw in the ties to the Likud and you have the stuff that SILENCE is made of! Professionals won't risk their careers by touching that one. And do career folks want to talk about the bigger problem of our own homegrown corruption? The privatization of the war machine, the privatization of our government? No, this stuff is too big to fix - therefore, we have career-sustaining silence.

It's hell to know.
