It does sadden me to see things come to such a pass, but as others have pointed out, maybe this is a natural progression. Pallas, RP, Shraby and others, what I am picking up from what you are doing is joy and excitement. Clearly you should be taking Joseph Campbell’s advice and following your bliss. My calling is different. It has been and remains Plame. For me that is truly, even before H20’s words drew me in, the tip of the iceberg. I will continue to send, as I can, messages to media urging them to get their act together.

As for lihop/mihop I haven’t made up my mind yet. My current theory is that events could have been set in place, either knowingly or unknowingly, that could make it happen. But that could have been as long ago as 20/10/5 years, and then, everyone sat back to see what/when it would happen. Kind of like, not having a schedule, but still knowing, that at some point, there would be a train coming down the track and removing the guards. Or setting a stick of dynamite on the ground near a match factory and hiding in the bushes (no pun intended) to see what will happen. When I see clips of * sitting in the classroom, and that look on his face, I could read it as dumbfounded. I can honestly see him thinking something like, “WOW, I can’t believe it actually happened, they were right!”

What I think I do know is that, as others have said, the world is not ready for hardcore lihop/mihop. When I try to talk about it to the people I know and those around me, their eyes glaze over. And these are New Yorkers! Plame they get, and that brings forth a response.

I will still be checking in from time to time and assume I will be welcome. This election will solve nothing really, it will be a finger in the dyke against the next rising tide of imperial hubris, unless ALL secrets are exposed. And if the efforts of everyone here and elsewhere continue, there will, I believe, come a day when we WILL be able to trust our government. Everyone will still be needed, and who knows, during that time maybe we will all find the path to being a cohesive group again.
