because that's the original definition of the word. And it's simply not possible to escape that fact. The fact that it has evolved to sometimes mean a person of either sex who compromises their principles doesn't erase the original and far more commonplace definition and usage. Not too many people can hear or read the term "whore" without thinking, however briefly, of its original and more commonplace meaning -- which meaning is itself sexist. And THAT is why it continues to be a sexist term no matter how it's being used. It's made all the worse by the fact that this time it was applied to a woman, compounding the sexist overtones and meaning.
