It must be hard to not believe in a war when friends get killed. What reason could you talk your self into to make dying good? It has to put a mother in a bad place also. One problem is the service has the President as a leader but the person is to defend the US Constitution. That is what he fights for. That is why Germany had such a time. They swore their lives to Hitler not Germany.Look at Vietnam. Started with a few 100 under Ike and when through Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon.And from the start it was a man who took us to war not a constitutional vote in congress. This one will be as long and done in the same back door way. I do not think the people will hold out for an endless war and we do not seem to have the number to do it.
