Bush loses voter in Virginia
Advertisements [?]
I have had a long-running battle with a close friend of mine for two years now about Bush that began before the Iraq invasion. At one point, he was talking about how Bush was "like Churchill." (Gag, retch). Two weeks ago we were talking, and he is going to vote Libertarian. He is a principled conservative (fiscal conservative, libertarian on social issues, an outdoorsman and very pro-environment). He told me that after reading the WP's articles on the Bush administration's secretive weakening of multiple environmental regulations that he could not vote for him. Not exactly a vote for Kerry (I can live with that - he is a Republican, after all), but not a vote for Bush. A minor victory.
