"This statement of course is false because homosexuals cannot reproduce and therefore cannot pass on their genes to the next generation."

Apparently, this person has never seen a biological child of a couple whose hair color is completely different. They're called recessive genes.

The one single greatest fear of the fundie "right" is the idea that homosexuality might be an inborn recessive genetic trait. Maybe it's a specific combination and expression of a specific set of genes. Maybe there's a genetic combination that only encourages homosexuality, only makes it more likely. Maybe there's a set of genes which, when exposed to increased levels of growth or fertility hormones in the womb of the mother, triggers what we call "homosexualtiy". The one thing we do know is people who are homosexual haven't chosen to be that way.

As for the statement itself, I know personally gay men who do have kids- my partner, for one, has a little girl. That utterly foolish statement simply does not enter reality.
