I watched a reality show today, "Maximum Exposure" |
|
The entire show was themed on sensational vids of protesters and protests.
They showed the Coast Guard trying to down Greenpeace helicopters with water cannon and Peta throwing dye on runway models etc.
Then they did a clip of some young girls that cuffed themselves together through metal tubes around some immovable object in Eureka Ca.
What got my attention was when the announcer mentioned the police were using "Torture Tactics"...After informing the girls they were on private property, they told them they would use "chemical agents" to coerce them to disconnect and leave.
While one of the girls was stating the illegality of torture on private citizens they showed the police spray mace into a paper cup. then using cotton squabs they applied the mace directly into the girls eyes one by one as another officer held their heads steady and forced their eyes open.
By now I was staring into the screen, mouth agape as the girls screaming dominated the audio track. Then, in obvious frustration the police once again held their eyes open and sprayed the mace directly into their eyes from about two inches.....End of video.
The host followed up by mentioning that the girls sued the city and lost...Then again on appeal.
WTF?...I gotta go outside and check my address to see what country I live in.
