Dean was just being encouraging in a noisy environment, yet the media distorted the scene. If ever context was needed, this was the case. Shame on them for artificially impacting the outcome of a serious election, and eliminating the only anti-war choice. In retrospect, I wish that Kerry would have straightened them out within the first hours. It would have been an act of political altruism that would have drawn centrist Americans to both him and our party.

CNN and PBS were right there with the rest of them. Sad. So sad.
