National Guard (but can never get to a funeral for DC NG)....Congress funds DC....

it is the massive bush* CUTS in Federal-funded social programs that are creating this crisis....there are now 18,000 homeless human beings on the streets of DC....half are VETERANS, 20% are children/families...

Virginia and every State has suffered from the Federal cuts......if you can't see it, you really don't care.....must be the smell of Virginia's 'compassionate conservatism'....

on edit: Virginia has so many homeless people now, that HOMELESS PEOPLE can register to vote in Virginia by writing in the nearest cross street, and then noting that you are living 'under a bridge' 'on a park bench' 'in a bus stop shelter' or whatever....

under bush*, there's going to be more "poor and homeless" than there are "volunteers" to help them...
