I am also shocked at the comments on this board.

Reggie made mistakes in life, but so have I - and so has everyone else. He was a man passionate about his faith, which was a major factor on and off of the football field.

He had an opposing viewpoint on homosexuality - as do many people throughout the world. But he was not defined by that hatred (at least, not outside the gay community). He will be remembered as one hell of a great football player, and an inspiration to many.

Reggie did a lot of good in his life, and brought hope and faith to millions - especially in the communities where he lived. Many of us are shocked at his sudden death, and are in grief today.

Rest in peace, Reggie. "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I forgive you, Reggie. I love you, and know that you are now indeed free.
