19. And Bush's ear. The 1st time I ever heard of Pipes was 3 wks before 9-11
because I'd been following US/Israel/Palestine like a hawk and there were strange stories on the internet about all these Muslims internet sites being shut down, and Muslims being harrassed. I looked into these "Joint Task Forces" that were shutting them down and the sinister duo in charge was Steve Emerson and Daniel Pipes. I've been watching him as time goes by and he's only been moving up the power ladder.

I thought the same things you did when he'd be on TV. Honestly, it was like looking in the face of pure evil. He was CONSTANTLY on FOX as a subject matter expert, peace expert, whatever they needed to portray him as.

MSM, shudder, not even talking about FOX here. That makes it even worse. Straight to Juan Cole's point.

What answer did you come up with for why the MSM would give him any credence at all?
