They developed this to help them shut down the pod people's mind. If they can say you are a hater of Bush, then you are somehow irrational and their minds can shut down to anything you say. I see it as a component of information control, a mind control technique.

Your criticism are not worthy of consideration. They have done this same thing in many ways over the years, including demonizing anything defined FOR THEM as "liberal." The proud and pompous pod person does not have to scrutinize, consider, or even listen to ANYTHING a "liberal" says because the poddies has been TRAINED to believe that anyone who disagrees with them is sub-human, anti-American.

From there it has been easy for the right to expand this mental manipulation into ANY criticisms of Chimpageddon. ANY.
