Harry Reid and his attempted deal making with Frist

Hear me out for a second.

When i first heard about the deal making he was attempting it really angered me, and then i kept thinking about and what i think he did was smart. I think he went in there to talk to Frist already knowing that Frist would say no and that would get out in the media, something like "Reid tries to compromise, Frist says no" and then i thought about how that will play out in the public, we've seen a few polls with numbers on the side of keeping the filibuster and i think when people realize Frist just said no way i think that senate republicans will lose even more support not only on this issue but on others because they will be perceived as just inflexible and petty. Thats my 2 cents, flame away.
