What happened to the strong freeper opposition in D.C?

Did I miss the thread where the freepers pushed back?
I expected there to be hoards of valiant members of the 101st keyboard battalion holding back the angry, unruly citizens in Washington.

really all we had to work with?

What happened? Did their order of portapotties get lost?
