as I recall he told someone in the press something about his beliefs why blacks made better athletes than whites. It destroyed his career. It was over on the spot. No more Sunday ESPN gig, whatever. He never really understood why what he said was wrong, but, yes, it was insensitive.

No, with a standard like that, why the hell is it ok for Bennett to have said what he said? I liked Jimmy, but I think his rush from the public spotlight was justified. Same thing should happen to Billy.
