How many Repubs will vote against Harriet Miers ?

There's a good chance that several will vote against her, simply because the conservative base is not happy with her. If ten or so Repubs voted against her, then she could be defeated if the Democrats wanted to send her back to the White House, if they wanted to stand together. However, we have had a few, like Harry Reid, that seem to have already committed to supporting her. Is this good? Should Democrats take the division of the Republicans on this nominee and hand Bush a defeat, and wait for the next more "conservative" nominee, or go ahead and vote this lady onto the Court. Because with the division of the Repubs, this nominee could be defeated, in my opinion.
