Unions were essential to protect worker's rights. Now, with unions on the decline, corporations are back to their old tricks again - but now perhaps much worse. Profiteering is an acceptable practice particularly in a Repug administration. Management uses the globalization issue as a one-way reason for lowering worker's wages/benefits. But it also means more profits and higher wages for the chiefs. It's just like shrubs reasoning: in order to cope with the terrorists, we need to limit your freedoms some more.

Unions built this country - republicans destroyed it.
