10. Second thoughts...
I don't know this to be true, for sure--that we have a War Party plot afoot, to drag us further into war, not get us out of it. I just feel--from long experience--that we've been here before. Strong deja vu. And I argue it strongly because I want you all to be warned, and to assess the situation strategically, smartly and with eyes wide open.

I am NOT saying, don't support the Democrats in a tangle with the Bush Cartel. In fact, I strongly urge you to do so. I supported Kerry even though I was appalled at his vote to give the Congress' war powers away to Bush, and his failure to take a principled stance against torture. I supported him because of all of YOU--the antiwar grass roots who worked so hard to oust Bush--such a amazing grass roots democracy movement. Had Diebold and ES&S permitted us to succeed (Kerry did win, you know--by about a 4% to 5% margin), the ANTIWAR GRASS ROOTS would have had influence in his administration, and he would have been strongly pressured to withdraw from the Middle East, and give up US world domination plans.

This War Party fears the American people--most of whom want peace, justice, fairness, decency, and good government. (All the polls say this.) Everything is done to manipulate us, to get us to acquiesce to huge military budgets, to get us to see the world with paranoid eyes, and to fool us into thinking that "war is peace."

So pardon me if I am a bit paranoid about the War Party. Things are likely not as simple as I have laid out above. There are good Democrats. And there are War Democrats with good intentions. (There are no good Republicans right now, that I can see. Fascists and thieves, the whole lot of them.) And we have no choice, really. We get a Fascist/Thief, or a War Democrat. A real antiwar Democrat--a populist candidate--will simply not be permitted, even though that view is most reflective of the will of the majority.

So we MUST work within the limited framework that our rulers have set out--at least nationally. And, within that framework, we must have one purpose: restoring our right to vote, and re-gaining transparent elections.
