TV hypnotism. These spoiled people who we are striving to wake up is so disturbing. I am talking about people who are close and dear to me. Good people who seem to crumple and become overwhelmed by the prospect of all of this. Why have we as a nation been unable to rouse ourselves? It comes down to cynicism and disbelief in our very real power as a collective force. I will lead if others follow. I will follow if others lead. Surely there are millions of like minded Americans who need this leadership and faith right now.
Battle their fear with hope, their sleepiness with excited commitment. At least I am true to this country and its promise of Democracy.
