Salon also totally pooh-poohed the 2004 election skeptic movement as well, after being one of the best sources for Diebold/e-vote skeptical news. Now even Kerry has reportedly said he believes the election was stolen. Apparently Edwards dissented heavily from conceding.
Needless to say, Salon is not the fountain of truth...it is just another publication edited and distributed by flawed human beings, the same as any other.
