27. I heard an excellent interview on NPR this am with Harper's Editor
Lewis Lapham who is leaving to start a new magazine which will take a current issue and do an historical analysis on the subject. He talked about the "criminal" administration and how he doesn't believe democracy can not work for us because it requires participation and people paying attention. He spoke of Americans myopic view, only concerned with our country while the rest of the world differs. When asked if there was a republican who he admires, he quoted Cicero
