it's really scary. everyone who is firmly in the MIHOP camp (where i've lived for several years now) really, really needs to go read a copy of the n. mailer book, "harlot's ghost."

it's basically a book about W's life, the one we NEVER hear about. sure, it's written about a fictional family, but it's got a 100+ biblio list and a really compelling narrative. even though it takes place during the 50s-80s, you'll recognize all the players and get a look into what kinds of people they really are...

spooks & drug dealers (often one and the same) are this world's true masters.
