"normal families" I have seen that are totally FUBAR. For light reading, I suggest a little book I read in high school: "I will call it Georgie's Blues." This book is about a totally messed up family, headed by a preacher. The household was a dictatorship, full of verbal and other mental abuses. Truth was non-existant, and it took a very mentally whipped small boy running away from home just to get Preacher Dad to snap out of his messed up PR game. In my aunt and uncle's "Christian" home, as my "christian" cousins tell me, they were "knocked across the room" if they did anything wrong.

Gay people have nuturing instincts too; just because some boy likes other boys or some grrl likes other grrls does not make them somehow inhuman and incapable of providing a nurturing background. I personally do not have a nurturing bone in my body; but for those LGBTQ people that do, there should be EQUITY!!
