10. I don't begin to understand gender dysphoria
but since I've had to cope with pre and post surgical transsexuals, I just accept it. There are a lot of things in the world I don't have to understand, just accept.

However, it's a pretty close call when a gay transvestite goes in for any sort of evaluation and treatment. It's easy to see how such a diagnosis can be made, and easy to see how a gay transvestite would regret the loss of his parts. They're separate things on the often weird continuum of human sexuality.

The operation can be reversed, at enormous cost, and with less than ideal results. Let's hope she gets more than one opinion this time.
