$100K here in San Fran is NOT get rich money (b4 anyone jumps on me, I've been out of work for 16 months). $200K is OK. $400K and you can think about buying a decent house. $500K and you can save for your kids college fund.
Or... you can knock 50 percent off the salary if you are willing to commute about 1 hour each way.
