I Wish to Publicly Apologize to Herbert Hoover

For the past year I have said, at all my public speaking opportunities, and in private conversations, "George W. Bush is the worst President since Herbert Hoover".

This statement was made as a comparison of job growth, or lack thereof, the negativity to Organized Labor, the favoritism toward the wealthy, and government assistance to corporations, at the expense of the workers.

This is all true, of course. However, Hoover never lied to start a war, did not burn bridges with long standing alliances, did not outsource American jobs to other countries, and did not leave a staggering deficit that will cripple any future recovery.

So, Mr. Hoover may be one of the worst Presidents in our history, but George W. Bush makes Hoover look downright competent, by comparison.

Bush is, without a doubt, the worst man ever to occupy the White House, and he will be the yardstick by which all past or future incompetence will be measured.
