3. I don't consider this whoring

Look I think the Bushies gin the terror warnings for political purposes, but I also know that someday we will be attacked again. Especially since these idiots in the WH have only done lip service to protect us.

I've wondered why Al Qaeda hasn't pulled something like this here. Initially I don't think many people in the U.S. would have the backbone not to have the bejeebers scared out of them if Al Qaeda pulled some random attacks ala the Russia school attack, the Madrid train bombing, the Bali disco bombing or the everday bombings that occur in Israel.

What frosts me about citizens here is Bush and his bunch of neocons conned so many in to thinking that by going in to Iraq they've prevented Al Qaeda from pulling off a catatrosphic attack here.

And now with the fear-mongering put out by the likes of Bush, Zell and the Repugs I bet you'll find few Dems and Repubs in congress willing to kill any boondoggle defense weapon. These weapons will do nothing to protect us and little for our troops after the "shock and awe" is over.

What Zell failed to tell us is that all those damn high tech weapons and NORAD failed to protect us against those 19 hijackers with knives and pepper spray.

Al Qaeda or any terrorists (foreign or home-grown) don't need a state sponsor to inflict terrorism on us. They can buy the chemicals and the materials to make chemical weapons and explosives right here, or steal it from a poorly guarded site. Hell, 60 Minutes showed they'd have no problem stealing nuclear material.

Remember the 2 armored automatic weapons armed bank robbers in LA a few years ago. Imagine a team of 20-30 terrorists who only need to arm themselves at a gun show and through internet catalogs pulling off simultaneous attacks in the U.S. at shopping malls, schools, an office building, a restaurant at lunch hour, etc.

If Bush gets a 2nd term we're going to throw billions at useless weapon systems and little in to the diplomacy, intelligence and infrastructure that might protect us. And with how Kerry is getting trashed, Dems in Congress will be willing accomplices.
