Unfortunately, so many people are so completely unable to connect dots, and immediately go on the defensive, so I doubt it gets through to many.

My only suggestion would be to follow up with "If you want those issues addressed, you have to decide to vote for those who have the best interest of us common folk at heart."

Not that that would probably get through to them.
