8. dissing idea of "starting at the top and working down"

re creation of a "liberal station"--"trying to be on par with us from Day One"--"let em come, fascinating to watch, have no understanding of the relationship with audience"--people will choose who they want, this will cement our audience (implying that of course the people will choose "us" over "them")

rambling again about "dawning" of radio, its "power to move product"
