Two years and 6,756 posts on DU... WOW!

I joined the Democratic Underground on August 13, 2002. (My profile says 2001, but I joined in 2002.)

My, what a two years it has been! I found DU on a forum at AOL. (I've since left AOL.) My first post was about the Michigan Governor's race (which Jennifer Granholm won ;-) ). Since then we have gone through:

• Paul Wellstone's death
  
• The 2002 election
  
• The Columbia tragedy
  
• A phony war
  
• A drop-off in popularity for our formerly 'popular' president
  
• A switchover into DU 2.0
  
• The deaths of my dogs (6/20/03 and 6/10/04), my Grandpa (4/29/04), and You-Know-Who (6/5/04)
  
• A hell of a primary season
  
• A hell of a convention; and
  
• A hell of a lot of other things.
  

Here's to 98 more years with DU! :-)
