and you are quite correct. I suppose a part of me is worried about D.A.'s using the hate crime laws to further their career even if there is no proof a hate crime was committed.
(Two friends of mine work in a law office and tell me things that truly scare me about some D.A.'s out there....Brrrr! )
Your examples though, would leave no doubt and on that, I absolutely agree.
