What's a great American lager?

This is a segue from the "what's a great dark beer" thread. Like most of us I cut my beer teeth on PBR, Grain Belt, Old Milwaukee, and the like. Generally I steer toward pale ales, porters, and stouts. So I'm kind of biased against lagers, I guess.

The best one I've had for awhile is Sierra Nevada Summerfest, if that helps define anything. I made a very nice pre-prohibition lager homebrew once, but that's when I was in Minnesota and I could age it cold as God intended.

Any nominations? I'm here in Georgia, where they just recently legalized "high gravity" brews. Availability is often hit and miss.
