when I was about 20 I had a stereo with built-in cassette deck that I used for taping albums off the radio; sometimes the radio signal would go out, for no reason I could discern. Eventually it went out when I was in the middle of taping Jeff Beck's 'Wired' off the radio. I beat the whole stereo to death with a hammer. Smashed it to pieces.

It gave me a good excue to go out and buy new stereo equipment.

By my mid-twenties, I had a heavy bag that I used to pound on regularly; I eventually got through all my anger, and didn't ned it after that.

Now, I am better able to step back and look at things from a larger perspective, and I rarely stay angry for more than a minute or two.
