14. Girl Scouts keep up
I was a leader about ten years ago. They work incredibly hard to be inclusionary. Changed some of the God stuff to do that as well. Changed the program so that it would be more interesting to city kids. There's even quasi-troops that are more like interest clubs. As a former leader, I'd say hunt down your local troops or Service Unit. State and National get way too much money, imho. And unlike Boy Scouts, local Service Units don't tend to get much local financial support. There's lots of good groups out there. Internationally, www.madre.org looks excellent to me too.
