because it was so fresh for the time. I saw it 12 times in the theatre.
IMO, the best made SW film is "Empire", without a doubt.
Lucas' last efforts have been utter dung.
I saw a preview of "Phantom" with a theatre full of Lucas employees who had worked on the film -- some of them for years. When the end credits rolled there was only the politest of applause. Everyone was pretty stunned by how shitty the movie was.
