Their trumpet has only one note, and they have tried and failed to blow it louder and louder to compensate. They can't really hurt anyone anymore, not much, and have to try to make others feel their pain one on one. Remember, their patriarch worked hard to keep them beaten down; all he allowed their self-esteem was the notion that they were, at least, better than homosexuals. It's all they believe they will ever have.

No, the most they seem able to do these days is to continue to leak low-grade poisons into the environment. Think of their little compound as a toxic waste dump, in which the population is slowly lost through attrition.

We are fortunate, more or less, that their pathology prevents their joining forces with the GOP, their natural allies. They are mad dogs that bite every hand, even those that would feed them.
