I dated a repub who tried to convert me. When he saw that was going nowhere we stopped talking politics. That's what did it for me - not that he tried to convert me, but that we now had a "no talke zone."

A liberal, eastcoast, jewish, educated democrat friend of mine married a gun-totten, far right guy and they now live in Texas. At first all was fine and dandy but over the past few years I've listened in horror as she tells me of his opinions, how he puts her opinions down, and how he argues every point with her. She's asked him not to talk about politics with her and he won't stop.

I thought inter-political marriage might work, but if these two can't do it, it can't be done!
