6. You can get poison ivy all year long.
I see you're in Maine, so probably buried under a couple feet of snow, but when I lived in New England I broke out all year long. I'm very, very allergic to PI. Think I figured it out that the cat had found a sheltered patch of it under the porch and brought the oils in on her fur, which trnsferred to me when I pet her.

Still, my anecdotal evidence is no repacement for a doctor. Especially if he's had the chicken pox already, and the unlikelihood (really) of PI at this itme of year.
