Kee-rist! I almost ran over some dumb bastard at lunch!

I live close to a small college in my town. I drove home for lunch, and on the way back to work, I take one street between the dorms and the classrooms. I'm used to students darting out in front of me, so I'm crawling along anyway.

Two students are standing on the curb up ahead of me, one has iPod earbuds in, and right as I'm about to come even with them, iPod steps out into the street, not even looking at me. He's a foot off my bumper. By the time I stopped, after locking them up, he was even with my passenger-side door. It snowed here yesterday, there's ice and the streets are wet, and I felt myself sliding. He almost ran into ME.

So what this stupid bastard do?

He talks trash at me. Arms wide open, starts running off his piehole. At me.

So I open my door and yell out, "pull your head out and pay attention, jackass!". Some other students who were walking up saw the whole thing, and after I said that they burst out laughing. iPod beat it. His buddy was in hysterics, laughing his ass off at iPod's expense.

I know I'm supposed to be the cooler head, being an adult and being in a car, but fer fuck's sake. I almost ran this jackass over because of his stupidity, and he's copping 'tude AT ME?

What a wonderful holiday season that would've made.
