Because that was quite a funny line. I couldn't help remembering it when I opened the newspaper and saw the cleavage shots in the Entertainment section today! And it did confirm what I'd been suspecting -- the audience was not that receptive. (Jon's own audiences tend to be faster on the uptake and livelier, so yelling "Settle!" at them is part of his thing.)

So, kudos to Jon for hanging in there. I'm not a comedian, but I do teach in large auditoriums, and an unexpected audience reaction (or lack of it) can be quite disconcerting. His ability to recover quickly -- and insert on-the-fly quips like the one about the Best Song winners -- shows he can think on his feet.
