I have been plagued by terrible gas for weeks, and had eaten a small bag of peanuts at about 2:00. Mrs. V. and I were on the way home from work, and it was all beginning to swell my innards.

I had a jones (unrelated to the gas thing) and I pulled into a convenience store for ice cream. By the time I got out of the car I knew I had to release a little of the pressure.

But there was a truck parked next to where I'd pulled in, and there were two men sitting in it. (Note: this all happened in about three seconds.) I said to myself, "what if they hear," so I held it and said out loud as I got out of the car, "Oh, help me not to fart in the store, God." Then I glanced over and realized why I didn't want to let a little go when I got out of the car: their window was down.

I stuck my head back in the car and told Mrs. V., "their window is down..." She started laughing and was still laughing when I came out of the store. When were about halfway home I asked "do you really think they heard me?" and she said "Oh, yeah, the guy in the passenger seat was laughing so hard he was holding his sides" and then she started laughing again.
