I've noticed a tendency for threads in this lounge to get silly--

--even by the standards of DU. We began with some good, funny ideas about people being naked, having birthdays, ranking movies, and so on...and it's gotten SILLY. Now--I like a good laugh as mucvh as the next person...except perhaps my psychiatrist, and parole officer, and maybe my CIA case officer...come to think of it, most people like a good laugh more than I do. But that's beside the point! If the silliness in this lounge doesn't cease, and we don't get away from this long-haired, left-wing anarchist permissiveness, I shall come down upon this web site like a ton of bricks...
