At least from the community in which I was raised. Gleaning over facebook tonight, I aptly looked at the political views of those whom I went to high school with that I knew at college or at other colleges. Nearly all of them stated: "Conservative."

I had wondered why I had fallen off the wagon when I came to school and why very few in my town even cared enough to say anything to me after my political views were established by outspokenly attending an anti-war demonstration of the campus of the institution. Now, I know why. My parents are democrats, my grandparents on both sides were democrats (and a damn fine ones at that). My family's political inclination was well known around town growing up and they were never . . . removed from the thought processes of the town. I, however, was.

I feel that unlike, perhaps, the previous generation, my generation is truly revealing the sickness under the skin here in America. It's distressing to me to see this intelligent people cowtowing to the lies of a fruitless administration. I made no lie as to my political affliation in my hometown, nor to my friends. The majority of my friends now come from the University and within my major field of study itself. Ah, well, I guess it proves that the damn anthropologist doesn't deserve shit since he's a librul bastard anyway.

Yet, I can't help but wonder. . . no, I have no need to wonder: a small, white military and executive town pushes out the products of conservativism and the liberal kid ain't no good. Excuse me whilst I hold the bile down in my stomach for their passing of ignorance and fact blindness to the youths that now are grown. That is all that it tells me and it makes me want to grieve.
