The economics department is highly regarded from what I know, there are a couple nobel lauretaes over there. They do preach free morket economics. I am in the history department and I have found all of my professors to be very fair minded, but if you dig a bit all have been on the more liberal side (no marxist types)...
Roy Wiklins is a professor here too...
So a bit of both, I have enjoyed my time there!!!
