One of the great joys of my youth was getting HBO when I was nine years old, in 1984. That was the year that HBO used to broadcast "Over the Edge" at least twice a week. I must have seen that movie seventy times or more...."Ooooh Child" still makes me cry.

The thing I loved most about "Over the Edge" was that the kids in that movie didn't seem like they were acting. They were just like the fucked-up, violent, paint-huffing, directionless, feather-haired kids in my neighborhood. The movie seemed more like a documentary than a work of fiction.

"Over the Edge:" Thoughts? Opinions? Curses? Moose? Squirrel?

"Bye Bye, New Granola!"

On edit: It was also Kurt Cobain's favorite movie, for what it's worth.
