Don't ask me how I know about this but apparently there is a jail of some jurisdiction here in Va. in which the men and women are seperated only by one cinderblock wall. If you flush the toilet at the same time as someone on the other side you can talk for a few seconds.
I know third hand about one such relationship that continued outside the prison walls.
True story.
