Hi everyone! I made it here. I am at my friends' house, buried in hot packs and blankets and I'm kind of (very) out of it from meds and pain. I've been babbling to my friends. Please indulge me for a bit while I babble to you too. :)
I can't even describe the types and levels of pain. Rolling muscle spasms in my back started right after the plane took off and haven't stopped. The arthritis pain in my fingers, toes and hip is just something horrible. But fortunately my other arthritic joints aren't nearly as bad right now. Small blessings and all that...
I took a high dose of painkiller an hour before the flight left, just in case I was able to get on the flight (good thing) and again on in the air half an hour before landing. I still couldn't stand up or hold onto my crutches when we landed. I sort of expected that, but it's still surprising me that I still can't put any pressure on my feet. x(
When the meds start to wear off in a few hours I'm going to find out what kind of shape I'm really in. Except I hope my muscle relaxants are going to knock me the hell out. The pain will wake me up when the MRs start to wear off (after about 4 hours) amd then I guess it'll be an endurance test for the rest of the night.
I'm going back and editing this post over and over adn over again because I can't spell or type right now. I hope this is coherent.
Thank you for the good thoughts and vibes. I'm with friends who love me and I'm going to do everything I can to enjoy this trip. :)
